Inside the Box Score
— Giants RB Saquon Barkley had 16 of the team’s 43 targets while TE Evan Engram had 7 of 43. It was obvious that Dallas tried to funnel Eli into the middle of the field which worked successfully.
— Saints WR Tre’Quan Smith is going to be a great player one day, but for Week 2 he only had one target. Michael Thomas and Ted Ginn had 20 of Brees’ 34 overall targets, proving that their starting jobs are safe.
— Chargers Mike Williams may have only had two targets, but he did have two receptions including a TD. Don’t blame Williams for the lack of targets, the Chargers were winning 28-6 at halftime and basically shut down their passing game in the second half.
