Newcomb – nice price for him today with a good amount of k upside. Over the past 10 days, Milwaukee has just 1 home run against lefties, while hitting .244. His k rate also touches just under 27% on the road. (Risk factor 5)
German – 6,600 is just too cheap for a guy with a lot of strikeout upside. His problem is homers and hard contact to righties. What will help is guys with power (Smoak Morales Solarte) are all switch hitters so they’ll hit opposite of his weakness. We’re playing some game theory here, so it’s intimidating on paper with his contact struggles, but he should be ok today. (Risk factor 5)
Bieber – going up against a hot Oakland team, but I believe in this kids stuff. He’s also pitching at home where he’s been straight nasty with a 0.71 era and striking out batters at almost a 31% clip. (Risk factor 5)
Fulmer – he’s been pretty tough on lefties at home with a .186 average, so he strength there plays into this Texas lineup. He tends to go deep into games even when he’s getting hit, and on a slate where the highest price pitcher is Dallas Keuchel I’m ok with Fulmer. (Risk factor 6)
White Sox – hitting .344 as a team over the past 10 days against LHP. Avisail is the hottest hitter in baseball. Anderson will hit a lead off homer.
Philly LHB – always love the lefties in day games. Kingham has given up a .274 average and 4 Hr to lefties
Boston RHB – Junis gets hammered from the righties giving up 15 homers (23.1% HR/FB) Flip a cook who homers for Betts or JD
Minnesota LHB – Mr. Sunday Eddie Rosario dong coming today. Cobb on the road has given up 5 homers and a .305 average to LHB.
Washington RHB – Tearing the cover off the ball right now. Just start your lineups with Reynolds and Trea. Richards is reverse splits giving up a .336 average and 4 Hr to RHB.
