Waiver Wire Wednesday
Jameis Winston — Winston will be the new starter for the Buccaneers after their bye week. Ryan Fitzpatrick had a good go of it but now its Winston’s team for better or for worse. I still think that Winston has some huge upside, but at the end of the day, I’m not sure that he’s going to bring the Bucs (or your fantasy team) to a championship. That being said, he still probably one of the best plays that you can pick up on the waiver wire this week.
Mitch Trubisky — You are not going to get six touchdowns every week from Trubisky, but his game against the Buccaneers absolutely showed his upside potential. Head coach Matt Nagy has done everything he possibly can to help him improve his overall game. Trubisky is very mobile, has a cannon for an arm, and just needs to improve his accuracy.
Joe Flacco — Flacco is getting older, but he is still getting the job done for the Ravens. He’s looked outstanding at certain times this year and although I thought he was going to lose his job to Lamar Jackson — for now he looks very steady. Pick him up for the short run but just remember in the long term this is still Lamar Jackson’s team.
